Overview
Chevy Bolt EV offers good driving characteristics and interior comfort. Though it’s exterior dimensions are small offers a spacious interior with 36 inches of rear seat legroom and good cargo capacity. Note that Bolt EV might feel cramped with 5 occupants inside, or for occupants with larger builds.
Recommendation:
We configured a Chevy Bolt 2LT with the Infotainment Package ($695) and Adaptive Cruise Control ($495) which added:
Bose premium 7-speaker system with subwoofer

2 USB charging ports for the rear passengers
This brought our Chevy Bolt EV to $31,885. Chevy states on their website that Bolt may be eligible for the Clean Vehicle Federal Tax Credit of up to $7,500. Depending on where you live, Chevy Bolt may be available for additional state tax credit, making the Bolt available for about $21,000.
2023 Chevrolet Bolt EV
With a starting MSRP of under $27,000, the 2023 Chevy Bolt EV is currently the most inexpensive EV available in the US.

Nissan doesn’t offer many noteworthy options in LEAF S, but if you’re looking for an EV for primarily local driving, it is an option worth considering.
