While visiting a small village in central Germany in 2015, I met one villager who was passionate about renewable energy. He took me on a tour of a nearby wind farm.
One non-functioning wind turbine required investigation. As we reached the top of the turbine, it immediately began to yaw and pitch. I was deeply unsettled by the movement. It was like a sleeping robot had been awakened. The rotor began spinning and fear turned to wonder.
I knew at that moment that I wanted to focus my career on sustainability and make a positive and lasting impact on the world. Most of all, it is my strong desire to do truly meaningful work and my best work.
It’s not easy to just jump right into a sustainability career. After several job interviews, that all ended in rejection, I decided to blaze my own trail into sustainability by creating hub.cleanearth.io.
My goal with this platform is share ‘relatable’ sustainability-related topics with the world, as well as to inform, educate, and collaborate.
I am active in growing hub.cleanearth.io into one of the leading sources for clean tech, e-mobility, and sustainability news, insights and commentary, and reviews. My mission is to fundamentally alter the perception of clean energy, sustainability and e-mobility, as well as highlight the positive and lasting impact they can have on people’s everyday lives and our planet.
